Yarn Paper Scissors is a fiber arts and crafts store and studio. Our store provides all of the resources a modern crafter needs in a light and airy studio space. We have beautiful yarn, fabric, specialty craft kits, studio space, craft supplies and tools, workshops and private instruction, a sewing room, and a private party room. |
WHAT'S NEW AT YPS?!?
Generally speaking, making your own apparel is more environmentally friendly than purchasing mass produced products. Yarn manufacturers are responding to "green" demands by bringing even more environmentally conscious products to market. This spring you will see more organic yarns, yarns dyed with low-impact dyes, and yarn from renewable resources such as bamboo, corn and soy. In addition to our current selection of earth friendly yarns, we will be adding more "green" yarns this Spring. Also, just arrived at the store -- our great sock yarn made from corn!
Later this Spring, expect new fabrics from our favorite textile artist - Amy Butler! Check out her website www.amybutlerdesign.com for a preview.
We are also excited to be offering summer camps this year for our young crafty customers! We will have camps for paper crafts, general fiber arts, and knitting. Details will be available the beginning of March.
Finally, don't miss our regular knitting night -- every Tuesday from 7-9 pm in the knitting circle. Bring in your knitting or crochet project (or any fiber arts related project for that matter), have some coffee or tea, and meet other wonderful crafters!
